Bassist Charlie Haden and guitarist Jim Hall’s 2002 European tour began 27 October in Warsaw, Poland. Tromsø was the third show. 30 October 2002. The duo arrived by plane from Madrid. The next day they flew to Oslo.
My father and Jim Hall were good friends. They’d known each other forever. They played together in a variety of live settings but never in the studio. The schedule consisted of 13 performances spread out over 26 days. Each night was professionally recorded for a possible live album. The album never happened.
