Treacherous Jaywalkers @ Coconut Teaszer Los Angeles, CA 5 July 1989
Vintage 1989 Treacherous Jaywalkers live recording up on the Treacherous Jaywalkers Bandcamp page:
“Coconut Teaszer was in a florescent pink building at the corner of Crescent Heights and Sunset Blvd., the outer edge of the Sunset Strip. It opened in 1987. The owners were known for booking bands with long, puffy hair and nothing to lose. I don't remember how we got on the bill. Urge Overkill and Claw Hammer played. The headliner was a former new wave band from Thousand Oaks called Puppets Of Mankind. Check out their song from 1984, "We Make Love". Their singer was great. They sounded more like Lords Of The New Church by the late 80s. I don't know if they even ended up performing that night. The venue is now an upscale pastel-hued bar/restaurant hidden by bushes.”
