My father loved horse racing. Kentucky Derby, Preakness, and Belmont were like holidays for him. We once travelled as a family by train to Del Mar. We received free admission and a special backstage tour. Between races the scoreboard lit up with Charlie’s name.
This is the final posting of business cards from this particular box. In addition to the race track, there are five restaurants, cards from three radio djs, three representatives of higher education, two union men, two cultural institutions, a music magazine editor, a manager of a major record label, an artist, a hotel, and a limousine service. 273 in all from this batch.
