Business Cards From A Box, Pt. 1
There are hundreds, if not thousands, of business cards. I find them in almost every box. Tucked between paper, stuffed in large padded mailing envelopes.
My favorites are restaurants. My father knew each each employee by name. Every host and server. The chef would come to our table and say hi. The owner too. He would leave them Charlie Haden CDs and funny stories, and leave with scrawled names in pencil and pen.
In this batch, from circa 2004, there are record labels and musicians. Radio stations, a local music union. Universities. Some of the business don’t exist anymore. Some have changed monikers. Some of the people have passed on. Some have reached greater success.
