A Playlist Of Charlie Haden Compositions

Charlie's songs together again

I manage Charlie’s publishing company, Liberation Music. We recently moved to a new administrator. They asked me to put together a spreadsheet that includes every Charlie Haden composition credit, every co-write, and every arrangement. They also asked for audio files of the songs. It took me a week to compile everything.

I thought it would be fun to put together a streaming playlist. I chose Spotify, not necessarily because I like Spotify but because it seems to be the most accessible internationally. Many of the song versions aren’t available there, especially some ECM and Artists House stuff. At 120 titles I think it’s still representative. It’s nice to be able to listen to Charlie’s songs, in their different incarnations, in one place.
